National Settlement Depository contests EU sanctions in court

MOSCOW, Aug 12 (PRIME) -- The National Settlement Depository, part of the Moscow Exchange group, has sent a claim against the sanctions restrictions to the European Court of Justice in Luxembourg, the trading floor said in a statement Friday.

"The National Settlement Depository applied to the European Court of Justice in Luxembourg on August 12, 2022 with a claim to lift the restrictions," the statement read.

The E.U. blacklisted the organization on June 3 in the framework of the sixth package of sanctions against Russia.
